GGE Alliance draws upon our local resources of more than 1,200 professionals throughout the United States. These local resources are connected and coordinated through a group of GGE Alliance Project Managers, who each have experience leading renewable energy projects for a variety of clients. The GGE Project Managers communicate regularly to coordinate efforts and promote continuous process improvement, allowing them to serve as efficient and effective managers and single points of contact for clients. Dave Bonnett

Principal, Geosyntec Consultants

Dave is a scientist and civil engineer with more than 30 years of construction and design experience. During this time, he has been involved in the management of projects in varying capacities, including all aspects of environmental and geotechnical design, preparation of permit applications (including landfill post-closure use permits) and construction drawings, and oversight of construction projects. He has developed a significant practice centered on the permitting, design, and implementation of renewable energy resources at landfills, including at the Shaffer Landfill Superfund Site in Billerica (the largest PV facility to be constructed on a Superfund site in the U.S.), among several others. His experience also includes the development of renewable energy has included the use of photovoltaic solar panels on closed landfills and landfill gas-to-energy projects.

Chad Farrell

President, Encore Renewable Energy

Chad is the President and Founder of Encore Renewable Energy. He is a developer, project manager and environmental engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience in the fields of environmental engineering, professional project management and renewable energy project development. He maintains expertise in the development of alternative energy facilities and the redevelopment of contaminated properties. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and earned a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont, where he completed a master’s thesis entitled “Removal of Residual Tetrachlorethene (PCE) from Homogenous and Layered Heterogeneous Soil Systems Using Alcohol Flushing.”

Tom Flynn

Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, Green Harbor Energy

Tom serves as the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Green Harbor Energy, where he leads the sales team and the strategic direction of all products and services. He has more than 25 years of experience in sales and sales management with success in engaging many of the leading Fortune 500 companies in the United States. Prior to Green Harbor Energy, Tom served as the Vice President for Marketing & Sales for the Clean Energy Markets Division of Nexant, where he helped Clean Energy Markets become the highest grossing division in the company.

Phillip Foy

General Counsel, Encore Renewable Energy

Phillip serves as Encore Renewable Energy’s General Counsel. He joined the Company as Corporate Counsel in January of 2014 after completing a Master of Environmental Law and Policy degree at Vermont Law School, where he had previously earned his JD. While at Vermont Law, and shortly thereafter, Phillip gained experience dealing with environmental and business issues while working for an environmental law firm in New Zealand, the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development in Montpelier, VT, and the White House Council on Environmental Quality, in Washington, D.C. This experience and education has provided Phillip with a strong understanding of legal analysis, environmental law and policy, and how the public and private sectors interact in regards to project development and implementation. Phillip also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University.

Tim Graham

Manager of Sales, Green Harbor Energy

Tim serves as the Manager of Sales for Green Harbor Energy, where he provides direct sales engagement and client management services. In this role, he provides in-depth energy procurement analysis, energy efficiency consulting, distributed generation and public utility expertise for his clients. Mr. Graham has more than 20 years of energy experience as a sales executive, where he has focused on renewable energy credits, combined heat and power (CHP) projects, gas and electric contracts, utility rebates, and energy tax credits.

Ronald Johnson

Senior Principal, Geosyntec Consultants

Ronald Johnson is a Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer based in southern California. Throughout his career, he has led dozens of multidisciplinary teams as they tackled a wide range of challenging and multifaceted engineering projects, including post-fire erosion control efforts and brownfield redevelopment opportunities. An industry leader in developing innovative approaches for the redevelopment of closed landfills for beneficial uses, such as solar energy installations, Ron specializes in solid and hazardous waste disposal site permitting, design, and construction. He and his teams have designed and built facilities for the disposal of low-level radioactive, hazardous, and municipal solid waste in the United States and abroad. His clients span a wide spectrum of industries, including transportation, water infrastructure, electrical power generation and distribution, high-rise construction, and mining.

Paul MacGregor

Managing Director, Green Harbor Energy

Paul serves as Managing Director for Green Harbor Energy, where he leads the firm. He has more than 25 years experience in leading new market and technology developments in the areas of clean energy markets, energy management, distributed energy, energy trading and risk management and electric power systems. Paul has been instrumental in the development of Energy Efficiency Certificate (EEC) markets in the United States, where he initiated the first EEC transaction in the US, has provided expert testimony to numerous state commissions, helped create national certification standards, and has overseen the transaction of over 10 billion kWhs of EECs. He was recently named a Platt’s Global Energy Award Finalist (Rising Star) for his achievements in developing the markets for energy efficiency.

Derek Moretz

Vice President of Development, Encore Renewable Energy

Derek is the Vice President of Development for Encore Renewable Energy and has more than a decade of renewable energy development experience. Prior to joining Encore in 2012, Derek was responsible for the end-to-end development and construction of over 400MW worth of large scale wind energy projects in the West while with NaturEner; a global renewable energy development firm. Derek began his clean energy development career with Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy, the leading wind energy provider in Central America. Derek received his MBA from the Jenkins School of Management at North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Appalachian State University.

Jennifer Nevius

Senior Engineer, Geosyntec Consultants

Jennifer Nevius is a Senior Engineer focusing on a wide variety of project types including feasibility studies for alternative energy development, sustainability evaluations, geotechnical investigation and site characterization, static and seismic slope stability evaluation, liquefaction assessment and mitigation, grading design, earthwork and construction materials special inspection, and waste containment, design, and environmental monitoring. She has led engineering feasibility studies, including studies for solar power generation on closed landfills.

Chad Nichols

Project Development Manager, Encore Renewable Energy

Chad Nichols is a Project Development Manager with Encore Renewable Energy. Chad has a decade of sustainable operations management and commercial construction experience in Vermont and across the Midwest. He is an experienced manager of complex development projects including site and asset management, risk reduction, and schedule acceleration. Prior to joining Encore, Chad was the Sustainability and Asset Manager for Vermont Energy Investment Corp. where he managed all physical assets, carbon impact measurement as well as a solar subsidiary, Sun Shares, LLC. Before moving to Vermont in 2008, Chad was a project and site manager for large commercial construction projects in Minneapolis, Chicago and across Ohio. Chad is a Climate Leader with The Climate Reality Project, a LEED AP and has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University.

Majdi Othman

Senior Principal, Geosyntec Consultants

Majdi is a Senior Principal Engineer based in Georgia with over 25 years of engineering experience focused on geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering projects. His practice focuses on waste disposal facility siting, design, permitting, and construction; design and permitting of bioreactor landfills; landfill air permitting and compliance; design and permitting of landfill gas collection and utilization projects; hydrogeologic investigations and groundwater impact analysis and protection; remediation of contaminated sites; renewable energy projects; and construction management.

Tom Ramsey

Principal, Geosyntec Consultants

Tom Ramsey is a Principal Civil Engineer based in Maryland with over 20 years of experience focused on engineering design, construction management, and economic analyses associated with containment design and solid waste management. Prior to joining Geosyntec in 2002, Tom served over 10 years as an engineer and regional manager for a major private solid waste management firm. His business management experience “in the trenches” within private industry gives him unique insight on how to leverage innovative technical solutions to maximize our clients’ return on investment, reduce operational and maintenance headaches, and minimize unrecoverable costs.

Jesse Stowell

Director of Business Development, Encore Renewable Energy

Jesse is the Director of Business Development for Encore Renewable Energy. Jesse has worked in the renewable energy industry for over 17 years, most recently as a Regional Sales Manager for SunEdison where he focused on origination and early development of solar projects throughout various markets in the Northeastern US. Prior to that role, Jesse helped grow AWS Truepower’s consulting services business, working predominantly with wind and solar developers as clients. Before joining AWS Truepower, Jesse was responsible for the development of on-site and community-scale wind energy projects at Johnson Controls. There he developed projects at federal sites financed by energy savings performance contracts. Jesse began his career at Northern Power Systems as a mechanical engineer and product manager, where he helped lead the commercialization of a medium-scale wind turbine for distributed applications. Jesse has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Vermont.

Blake Sturcke

Chief Financial Officer, Encore Renewable Energy

Blake serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Encore Renewable Energy, where he spearheads all of the Company’s project and corporate finance activities. In addition, Blake leads the Company’s corporate development and M&A activities, and oversees a number of general management functions including accounting, human resources, marketing, strategy and technology. Prior to joining Encore, Blake co-founded Turning Earth, a leading clean energy company within the organics recycling and waste-to-energy sector. Earlier in his career, Blake worked for 15 years for leading global investment banks as a capital markets and corporate finance banker to high-growth companies in the U.S., Asia and Latin America. Blake began his career at Morgan Stanley where he held a succession of positions, including leadership roles in the firm’s Investment Banking Division in New York, Hong Kong and India. Blake is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Brooklyn Urban Garden Charter School, a community-based charter middle school governed by the New York State of Education Department which was founded to provide interdisciplinary education to adolescents of all abilities and backgrounds, with a focus on environmental sustainability. In addition, Blake is a member of the Advisory Board of 118 Capital, a New York-based impact investing organization catalyzing economic, social and environmental impact in the Americas. Blake received his MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, and his BA in Economics from Bucknell University. Blake regularly guest lectures on topics including clean energy, financing green technologies, and corporate development, at academic institutions including Bucknell, Columbia, Yale, UVM and Villanova.
